Hillary Clinton may have been rallying women in DC, but the loudest statement in the room came from journalist Rebecca Traister.

During a recent Emily’s List event, Traister, a senior editor at The New Republic made a televised appearance to talk about the recent Hillary email scandal. While delivering smart statements, the new mom also cradled her newborn baby Bella. For Traister, it was a split second decision; she wanted to participate in the interview without waking her baby. But for the working women out there, the publicized image of a mom working while caring for her baby was a long awaited sigh of relief.

“It seemed totally natural,” MSNBC reporter (and dad) Chris Hayes tells Fortune. “This is part of normalizing that kind of thing.”
