Town Elects 4-Year-Old Mayor for his Second Term
Nope it’s not a spoof.
4-year-old Bobby Tufts got re-elected as the mayor of the small town of Dorset, Minnesota. This two-term pint-sized politician started his time with an interview with MSNBC today.
When asked who ruled the town of Dorset, Tufts confidently stated, “I’m the boss!”
Robert “Bobby” Tufts was first elected mayor when he was just 3-years-old. This year, during the Taste of Dorset festival, the tot again won a second term, again governing the small town of two dozen people.
And while there is technically no formal government in Dorset (You can cast a vote as many times as you’d like in exchange for a $1 donation to the festival), the little boy has his own political agenda.
“I want to be a president,” Tufts said, officially stating his future goals.
For now, he’s content to run his town all while starting preschool in the fall.
