A 13-year-old boy died after spending a night at a friend’s house and being injected with a fatal dose of heroin.
Canoga Park teen Timothy Matthews was staying overnight at his friend’s place, when his friend’s brother, Brett Cronin allegedly shot himself with heroin before allegedly injecting Matthews.
Matthews went into convulsions after the fatal dose, but Cronin didn’t call for help until 8 hours after the incident, as Los Angeles police officials came to the scene at 9 a.m. on Wednesday.
Officials are still uncertain if Cronin administered the drugs or if Matthews injected himself.
Brett Michael Cronin has been charged with one count of murder, furnishing heroin to a minor, and child abuse. He is currently held on a $1 million bail.
