Family Finds Two-Headed Snake, Keeps as a Pet
To give the family credit, it was an extremely rare snake.
Workers in Greenwood County, South Carolina came across a two-headed snake close to the Logan family home. They gave the rare find to Savanna and Preston Logan who have been excitedly showing off their new pet to their friends.
The unbelievable snake has a head on each end of its body. Snakes may (but rarely) develop similarly to Siamese twins with two heads side-by-side. However, for this particular snake, which has now been identified as a rough earth snake, the genetic mutation was even a rarer occurrence.
So what are the kids going to name the newest addition to the family? Savanna wants to name the snake Oreo, although Preston prefers Billy Bob.
