If your mom was Celine Dion, you would think that your name will be equally as majestic as your famous parent. Apparently that wasn’t initially the case for four month old twins, Eddy and Nelson. In an interview with Oprah, Celine Dion revealed that for a week, she named the twins “Baby A” and “Baby B”. Not only was it hard enough to tell the twins apart, but Celine revealed that everyone was getting confused with the single-letter names.
Luckily, the debacle only lasted for a week. Baby A (or was it Baby B?) was finally named Eddy after Eddy Marnay who produced Celine’s first five records. Baby B was then named Nelson after Nelson Mandela who Celine had met on her tour to South Africa.
As payback for the initial naming mishap, the twins are apparently ready to take the world by storm. At four months, Celine mentioned that both Eddy and Nelson are bilingual in French and English. At the tender age of four months, I would be impressed if they’re able to say their own names. Comment t’applle tu? Let’s hope their responses aren’t A or B.
