Once your kids are ready to move out for college or to start a life on their own, sometimes the biggest transition is your own. While the mix of emotions can be overwhelming, there are a few things to get over this hurdle.
1. Let Go
There are some things you can control and others you can’t. Just keep in mind that you’ve done your best and you’ve already given your kids the best life lessons to guide them along the way.
2. Mind The Purse Strings
Make sure that while you continue to support your child, give them the space and independence to take responsibility for their own finances.
3. Continue to Communicate
Even though they’ve moved out, it’s important to keep the bond going with your kids.
