In a tragic murder-suicide in Casper, Wyoming, a suspect killed a woman using a “bow-and-arrow” weapon, before going to the Casper College campus and killing a man in front of his students, then committing suicide.
No details have yet been released on the suspect and the victims, although witnesses describe a “bow and arrow-type” weapon in all three deaths.
The three unidentified adults knew each other, and the murdered male on campus was a faculty member.
“I want to emphasize that this is a horrible tragedy,” police chief Walsh explained. “And I want the city to just feel safe right now. There is no one at large.”
The campus was locked down temporarily and all classes were cancelled pending police investigation. Counselors have been provided for college faculty and students.
“Any loss of life is tragic, especially when it hits so close to home for so many of us,” Sen. Mike Enzi said. “What took place today is a reminder to always look out for one another in our communities and neighborhoods.”
