We often think that it’s simple enough, a force of habit or a quick routine. However, little do we know that there are some do’s and dont’s to brushing your teeth.
Mistake 1: You brush too hard. Brushing too hard and using long horizontal strokes can cause abrasions to your gums. Brushing in short strokes and in a vertical motion is the right way to clean those pearly whites.
Mistake 2: You brush too often (or not). It’s recommended to brush 2-3 times a day for about 2 minutes. Brushing infrequently can cause plaque and bacteria buildup, while brushing too often can expose the tooth enamel.
Mistake 3: You pick the wrong brush. Depending on your mouth and the way you brush, the type of tool can be quite important. Choosing the right brush and bristles can make the biggest difference.
